history
YLI was co-founded in 1996 by Executive Director, Michael H. Samet, and Jerold J. Samet, his mentor and adopted father, and with the involvement of many friends.
YLI focuses on the development of bright students who attend the three international meetings and participate in workshops, seminars, and team building activities.
Over the past ten years, YLI has impacted the life of many students. Starting with 16 students in the summer of 1996, YLI now has 300 students per summer involved in its programs. YLI has chapters in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, Central America and South America
what is YLI?
In a world that is so small, yet so divided, Youth Leaders International seeks to inspire youth from around the world with the motivation and confidence to lead and serve others, while challenging current perspectives and practices for a sustainable and tolerant future. YLI teaches youth the value of a life lived in balance and to respect the lessons learned by our fathers and the life lessons they pass on to us....
